TSLA
🇨🇦 Canada is cutting incentives for Tesla vehicle purchases, potentially impacting demand.
🤔 The stock is noted for being heavily traded by retail investors with high speculation, almost like a meme stock.
📉 The speaker questions if Tesla remains an attractive investment compared to potentially less risky options with better appreciation possibilities, given the high retail involvement.
@bernardodegarcia:
“With much reason, the action of Tesla is plagued by retailers with a high degree of speculation; it’s almost a meme stock, almost. If I’m not mistaken, I think it’s one of the favorites among retailers. That can be very good or very bad; it all depends on whether we know how to navigate it. You don’t know how right I think you are. Subconsciously, I already knew it, but my conscious mind didn’t perceive it. But these days, with Tesla shares jumping a lot, and with the markets jumping a lot, and with shares of MicroStrategy, GameStop, and others also jumping a lot, well, yes, it’s a bit of the harsh reality. So, well, are we really interested in being there, or are we interested in being in other positions with less risk and more possibilities of revaluation? Well, in the end, I still like the company, but I consider it more and more. I don’t usually like being where everyone else is; you end up having returns like everyone else, and I suppose we all seek returns better than the market.”
