@bernardodegarcia:
“And we finish our news with Google/OpenAI because it says that Open AI would be interested in buying the Google Chrome browser if the Federal Court orders its divestiture, declared the director of ChatGPT in a court hearing. ‘Yes, we would, just like many other parties.’ Obviously, if you fine Google and force them to sell, I, since they are forced to sell, will ask for a very low price, and obviously, I am very interested in the business. But what sense does it make for a company like Open AI to buy a business like Google Chrome when Google is being asked, or they want to ask Google, to get rid of Google Chrome due to anti-monopoly positions? None, really. I don’t think this will happen. I’m more worried about the AdSense trial. Well, obviously, Open AI was asked if the company would seek to buy Google’s browser, and they said yes. Turley, the director of Open AI, was subpoenaed to testify by the Department of Justice as part of a three-week trial aimed at determining what changes Google, owned by Alphabet, must implement in its business, after a federal judge determined last year that the company monopolized the search market. Judge Amit Mehta will decide in August what business practices Google must modify. The Department of Justice has requested that Google be forced to divest Chrome, but obviously, Google will appeal, and we will be talking about this next year and probably in two years as well. … The Big Tech companies, especially Google, will end up telling us. Ah, I’m quite worried about how it might end up bringing its revenue results, since as I told you in previous videos, we’ve seen that with the same visualizations, we’re seeing that ah there isn’t as much demand for ads, which means Google is earning significantly less.”
