🇨🇦 Benefited significantly from the Island Gold acquisition in Canada and subsequent discovery of deeper, high-grade veins, transforming the asset’s profile.
📈 Strong stock performance reflects operational success and asset quality, making it a top performer in the gold mining sector.
💲 Commands a premium valuation compared to peers like WAF, partly due to its Canadian assets and the strong reputation of its founder/CEO, McCluskey.

“If you had to choose between Alamos Gold, K92 Mining, or WAF, which would you pick? And why? Well, look, uh, well, the three are stunners. I mean, to play gold, they are all excellent. I mean, and all, you see the chart, they’ve all gone incredibly… Alamos Gold was basically the key, the acquisition of Island Gold, an asset in Canada. Which was, I don’t remember well, but I think they discovered like new higher-grade veins deeper below the already known deposit. So it was like it changed the entire profile of the asset completely, and since then, the last 3 years have been a rocket. K92 is a super high-grade asset there in Papua New Guinea. WAF, well, you all know it in Burkina Faso. I’m in love with Richard Hyde, operationally, how well they’ve executed. They’re caught now with this whole gold surge with the new asset starting to operate now in a couple of, I think in three months. I mean, it’s incredible, and well, the three have done incredibly, and I think to play gold, I mean, with any of these, you’ll do well. That being said, objectively speaking, I think… well, I think by all-in sustaining cost, I think the cheapest is K92, I think. I’m not sure at all, but I think K92 is the lowest cost. By valuation, the most expensive is Alamos because it has assets in Canada, it has quite a premium, I mean, McCluskey, who is the founder and CEO, also has a very good reputation. And the cheapest is, I think, WAF.”
