💰 Adobe is offering its software suite, including Acrobat, to the U.S. government at a significant 70% discount on current list prices until November.

🏛️ This move follows increased scrutiny from the Trump administration on government software spending, aiming to cut costs across agencies, with similar impacts on Oracle and IBM.

🤔 While potentially impacting the bottom line negatively due to the discount, securing government business under these terms could be seen as a strategic positive for Adobe in the long run, especially after specific mentions of its licensing costs.

@bernardodegarcia:
“Let’s now go with Adobe, where we have news that is not very positive for the bottom line, but ultimately is positive for the company in general, as it was offering its product package to the U.S. government at a reduced price following scrutiny of software spending by the Trump administration. A software package from Adobe, including the Acrobat application for handling PDF files, will be available to the government with a 70% discount on current list prices until November, said the U.S. General Services Administration. The Trump administration has sought to cut costs in all agencies, including technology spending. Contracts with companies like Oracle, IBM, and others have also been affected. The department of government efficiency, an effort led by Elon Musk to reduce spending, has said that many agencies are paying for more software than is used and specifically mentioned Adobe licenses during the month of March, which, well, with the quarterly results and so on, didn’t end up helping.”
