📱 Apple is preparing a major software overhaul for iPhones, iPads, and Macs, aiming to transform the user interface.
🎨 The update will change the look of operating systems, making Apple’s software platforms more consistent.
📉 This move comes as Apple aims to boost demand after a period of slow growth and a surprising drop in iPhone sales.

“Something quite interesting is happening in Cupertino. Apple is preparing one of the most dramatic software overhauls in its history, with the aim of transforming the iPhone, iPad, and Mac interface for a new generation of users. The renovation planned for later this year will fundamentally change the look of the operating systems and make Apple’s various software platforms more consistent, according to people familiar with the effort. That includes updating the style of icons, menus, applications, windows, system buttons, that is, it will be a new company, so to speak. As part of the push, the company is working to simplify the way users navigate and control their devices, said these people, who, as always, ask not to be identified because they would be out of a job. The design is loosely based on the Vision Pro software, said Apple, which is betting that a new, innovative interface can help stimulate demand after a slow period, trading at 36 times with growth of less than 10%. Well, its revenue is decelerating after an increase in technology spending during the pandemic era, and growth is only returning very gradually. Apple’s iPhone, its biggest source of income, suffered a rather surprising drop in sales during the most recent holiday season, and that, well, left the shares a little staggering. But notice how well it holds up compared to, for example, Microsoft. I mean, it puzzles me a bit. Microsoft is using a forward P/E of 29, Apple is trading at a forward P/E of 30, of 30, that is, you send me to choose between Apple and Microsoft? Neither. Interactive Brokers.”
