🇨🇳 South African company owning 33% of Tencent.

📉 Trading at a discount due to its large weighting in the South African index.

🎮 Tencent is a major player in gaming and social media.

⏳ Key is patience to see the discount eliminated.

@emeritoquintana:
“Naspers is a South African company that owns 33% of Tencent. In 2001, Naspers bought a significant part of Tencent, and it has been their best investment. The part in Tencent has become so valuable that it has come to weigh 25 to 30% of the South African index. This has forced sales from institutional funds and individuals. We have exposure to Tencent Holdings, which we like in the long term, generating a lot of value with a 30% discount and a lot of free investments. The key is patience; if one can wait more than the others, we can have that long-term exposure and wait seated for that discount to be eliminated.”
