⚖️ Google faces significant antitrust challenges, with two major lawsuits expected to conclude between 2027 and 2030, potentially impacting its AdSense business.

📉 A noticeable decline of approximately 20% in YouTube ad spending has been observed, signaling potential headwinds for advertising revenue streams amid economic uncertainty.

🤖 While Google is advancing its AI capabilities with Gemini, concerns remain about its competitive positioning and the real-world performance compared to rivals like ChatGPT.

@bernardodegarcia:
“Results for Google are coming. I spent most of the weekend reading about the two antitrust lawsuits Google has, which will probably end between 2027-2028, considering Google will appeal sentences and so on. They could even extend to 2030. There isn’t much to worry about. What might concern me most is if they really end up forcing them to do something with Google AdSense. I don’t think so, but well. Also, I don’t know if you saw that the Department of Justice wants Google to sell Android, to sell Google Chrome. Who buys all this? What we are observing is that there has been an approximate drop of about 20% per average ad. This means that if a company paid Google, imagine $1,000 a month for placing ads on YouTube channels, this company is now paying $800. Or simply, if there were 10 companies paying $1,000 to YouTube, now there are only eight. There has been a 20% reduction. Marketing companies are quite cyclical, as you know. I don’t mean this makes Google a bad investment or Meta a bad investment or anything like that. I think they are fantastic investments, but the truth is that marketing companies’ revenues are relatively cyclical.”
