META

👍 The speaker expresses personal conviction in Meta, highlighting the importance of individual analysis and understanding a company’s intrinsic value before investing.

📊 Meta is presented as a potentially better investment opportunity compared to Nvidia currently, due to perceived lower uncertainty surrounding its valuation and future prospects.

⏳ The speaker advises against market timing (selling high to buy low), emphasizing holding quality businesses like Meta long-term if the intrinsic value justifies it.

@InvertirdesdeCero:
“For example, Meta, eh, seems like a much better investment today than Nvidia, but for me and for my knowledge and conviction. Eh, for another person, maybe Nvidia, eh, is their opportunity. Look, it’s at $94. Well, hey, eh, this, I tell you, there’s no exact recipe for everyone. Each person has to invest based on their knowledge and conviction, and we don’t always have to agree, nor do your opinion or mine, eh, have to clash. It’s simply, well, a portfolio decision… Diego asks, “I’m 280% positive on Meta and have liquidity, but I’m tempted to sell Meta and rebuy lower.” Look, Diego, selling a stock with the intention of taking profits and then being super, eh, intelligent enough to manage to rebuy it lower is a very dangerous strategy that, eh, many investors try to do, and most get it wrong. Why? Because nobody knows what the bottom of the stock will be when it’s falling or if it will fall. Okay? What happens if you sell Meta and it doesn’t keep going down? What if tomorrow a rally starts because, eh, the whole tariff problem is resolved, and you’re left out of one of the best businesses in the world for trying to be smarter than the market? That’s not investing; that’s speculating and doing market timing. With the market, it has been historically proven by all investors to be an authentic failure. Stay in the businesses you know, that you have well-valued, whose intrinsic value considerably exceeds the price, even if not this year, for the coming years. And the only thing you have to do is that: become an owner of those businesses, ensure the intrinsic value exceeds the price, and wait and be patient. It’s the best and easiest way to make money in the stock market.”
