ONON
🇻🇳 ON Holding, a successful sportswear company heavily reliant on Vietnamese manufacturing, saw its stock plummet nearly 50% due to fears of US tariffs on Vietnamese imports.
📈 The stock experienced a dramatic intraday reversal, swinging from a 10% loss to a 10% gain on Friday following news of positive talks and potential agreements between the US and Vietnam.
⚖️ This volatility highlights the stock’s extreme sensitivity to trade negotiations; while a quick resolution could lead to a sharp recovery, the outcome remains uncertain, making it a high-risk, high-reward situation.
@VisionariosBolsa:
“We have stocks like ON. ON, you know, we’ve talked many times about this company. Put on a daily chart, it’s a footwear company, a sports footwear company that is killing it, doing superbly in the real market, not in the stock market. Because in recent weeks, we see how it has followed the general market a bit, and it’s a company that obviously, well, if most of the shoes are produced in Vietnam, and Vietnam is one of the countries that will have the most tariffs for American imports, well, you’re going to be one of those who suffer the most… Obviously, it fell practically 50% in just weeks. But suddenly on Friday, the leader of Vietnam comes out and says, well, also in the United States they say, ‘Well, we had a call, United States-Vietnam, and we have moved closer.’ And Vietnam says, ‘We are willing to do whatever you want, I’ll drop my pants, United States, I’ll drop my pants. What do you want?’ Well, obviously, we already know that they are going to reach an agreement super quickly there… What did we see in ON? How it went from falling practically, well, 10% to suddenly rising 10% on the day. Therefore, imagine, they haven’t reached any agreement, they haven’t reached anything. Imagine if now, after the market has discounted this in ON… well, it’s very likely that suddenly we have to readjust again and the stock price can go back up.”
