@bernardodegarcia:
“Tesla’s sales are falling 45% for the past month across Europe, where rival automakers are seeing momentum in demand for electric vehicles. Tesla registered less than 10,000 automobiles in January, down from 18,000 a year ago, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association. Sales of electric vehicles soared 37% for the industry overall, and automakers registered large gains in Germany and the United Kingdom. Tesla is changing the production lines of its most popular vehicle, the SUV Model Y, and competing with its chief executive, who is becoming an increasingly polarizing figure in global politics after emerging as one of the top donors of Donald Trump during the election cycle in the United States. Musk is setting his sights on Europe, backing right-wing parties and attacking center-left rulers. Tesla has begun implementing a software update for clients in China that allows its driver assistance functions to be similar to those marketed as FSD in the United States, something that we still do not have in Europe. The update allows Tesla owners to use driver assistance functions on city streets. The system can guide vehicles toward exit ramps and intersections and can recognize traffic signals, make turns, and manage lane changes and speed.”
