🇨🇳 Tesla’s China website has removed the ‘buy now’ option for imported Model S and Model X vehicles following increased tariffs.
📉 The stock experienced a significant drop yesterday and continues to fall in premarket trading, reflecting market concerns.
🛒 Existing inventory of these models remains available for purchase in China, though new direct orders are currently halted via the website.

“We have Tesla in premarket, as you see, falling by 3%, but we always like to see a bit more. Wibol is a bit whiter, well, there we have it. Tesla, after having fallen 7% yesterday, let’s put it on 15 minutes, better, well, it’s falling by about the same amount. Notice how the 50-day moving average is marking the path, and down here we have the 200-day moving average. We’ll see if it ends up supporting it, which indeed, yesterday was the one that ended up working very well, from 325 to 200. Well, it kind of stayed there, ended up jumping. Anyway, the news today is that Tesla’s website in China removed the option to ‘buy now’ for Model S and Model X electric vehicles, both imported from the United States, days after China retaliated against tariffs from US President Donald Trump by increasing its own taxes. Tesla’s website in China offered the option to ‘order now,’ meaning ‘buy now,’ for both models at the end of March, according to a screenshot archived by Wayback Machine, but this option was removed this morning with China’s response. Existing inventory, like a white Model S for almost 760,000 yuan, which is about $103,000-$104,000, is still available. Tesla representatives in China did not immediately respond to requests for comment.”
